Thin veneer on a wet wall without a rainscreen or proper lath fails at the first freeze-thaw and at every window.
Full-bed stone needs a base that can hold it. A decorative ledge on foam is a callback.
Color sampling beyond a couple of mockups is how schedules slip. We plan mockups, then we lay.
The inspection
Find the entry point before pricing the repair
We set custom stone: thin veneer and full-bed work, including precast pieces that belong in the masonry elevation.
Flashing at sills and heads is part of the stone job when the stone is the weather face. We do not leave a raw wood sill behind a pretty ledge.
